They were professional and undercut the competition. We have a challenging yard with a big slope and we asked his team to blend 8ft into 6ft due to the slope. They did a good job but there were a few spots where the fence was a little high from the ground. I asked him to put a rot board on the bottom to help preserve the fence as well as cover some of the high spots since my neighbors and I all have dogs. Some great things: -7K for 182ft of fence, some 8ft and some 6ft, steel posts, and 2x6 rot baord all along the bottom -Seems like a professional guy. Him and his team worked 8-4/9-5 with everyday being a heat advisory. I do have a few areas of improvement: -I wish his team would have filled in the dirt around the posts and bottom better. I assumed that was part of the fence job but I'm doing it myself. - I was upset about the gap between the fence and the ground in a few spots but I somewhat understand due to my yard. -We originally planned for post master posts, but had to settle on standard galvanized posts. I wish there would have been some checking in with the vendor before the date of the job. it was a little upsetting to hear they were out of stock the day we were supposed to start installation. I had to remove a section of fence to put in a driveway. I had an idea to put the 15’ section back as a sliding gate in the style of a barn door. It wasn’t a big job but it was a complicated one. There was a lot of math! I contacted eight fence companies or contractors that either didn’t return my call or came out and took measurements and then disappeared. I’ll NEVER understand why they’re even in business. Only one other got back to me but wanted to totally change the design. Juan came over when he said he would and got back to me with a bid when he said he would. The job turned out to be bigger than either of us expected (remember there was a lot of math involved and there was a domino effect on every change) but Juan stuck with it and solved every dilemma. It turned out fantastic and I strongly recommend JR Fences for all fencing, whether super simple or challenging, like mine was. See more See less
Juan was very professional and responsive throughout the whole process. I had my quote by email within 24 hours of requesting it. He was able to get me scheduled in less than a week. He was considerate and grateful for the work, despite it being a small project. He took his time and installed a solidly constructed gate with perfect latch. He was also considerate enough to offer to make adjustments if needed when the wood dries out more if there is any sagging. We have had Juan and his crew at JR Fences work on several projects for us. The photos are of the chainlink fence gates at our home after repairs. One was falling off and unuseable. The other was not closing properly because the post was not in the correct spot. Now they work great! They have also repaired a wooden privacy fence at one of our rental properties that had fallen down after a storm (turns out the guy we originally hired to install it had not done it right- the posts were too shallow). JR Fences fixed it. They also took care of a chainlink fence at another property for us following storm damage. We have referred them to others who have also been happy with them. We hired JR Fences to repair a chain link fence damaged by the recent ice storm. From start to finish JR Fencing was the contractor you always hope to hire. Number one, my phone calls were always promptly returned. You can't hire a contractor that doesn't return your calls!! After my initial call, Juan was out to estimate the job within one day. The estimate was written up in one additional day in contract form and after I accepted the contract I was scheduled for work the next day. The contracted price was $200.00 cheaper than the local large fence contractor. The work was completed in two days and the workmanship was excellent. I highly recommend JR Fences. Awesome job!
